Who we are ...
The Viva Kirche Liestal has been an independent congregation since 1916. As an evangelical free church, we are part of "Viva Kirche Switzerland". Locally, we are connected with regional and free churches in the "Liestal Church Round Table". We also belong to the "Allianz Liestal", in which local free churches work together.
We have our roots in St Chrischona near Basel. From there, congregations were founded and accompanied into their independence. We continue to have strong links with the St. Chrischona Theological Seminary (tsc).
What we believe ...
The "Apostles' Creed" summarises our faith well.
What we offer ...

Team
The Community management is responsible for the spiritual course of the Viva Kirche Liestal.
At the same time, each member manages one or more areas.
Locality
Our church venue is the Chapel in the Burg quarter of Liestal.
Location
Car parks
We have a few parking spaces in front of the house.
The number of parking spaces is limited due to the large SBB construction site. There are other parking options in the neighbourhood (e.g. Rehhagstrasse). If you can walk a few minutes, you will find more parking spaces in the Stedtli neighbourhood. Parking facilities.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
It is a 10-minute walk from the SBB railway station in Liestal to our restaurant.
The Burg bus stop is very close by.
Freedom from barriers
Our restaurant is not yet completely barrier-free. A ramp already provides access to the main hall. The installation of an interior lift is planned so that the basement will also be accessible in future. Until then, we will be happy to assist you.
Our vision
Enlarge your tent! Stretch out the canvas further! Don't skimp! Lengthen the ropes and hammer in the pegs firmly! For you will spread out on all sides.
