Gifts of grace are part of a greater whole. We look at individual gifts of grace from 1 Corinthians 12 (e.g. prophecy). In doing so, we are open and strive for the gifts that are particularly edifying.
In the closeness to God and from the encounter with God, gifts of grace are lived out in a beneficial way.
