Concert vooi's choir

Fri 26 August - as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations

It was a premiere: the vooi's choir with singers from Liestal and the surrounding area gave a full-length concert! Anna Gosteli, the director and conductor, got everything out of the individual voices. I was particularly impressed by the song that was rehearsed for hours especially for this evening - chicken skin!

It was a very successful evening with a great atmosphere for the choir and everyone in the audience. Afterwards, we rounded off the evening with meetings and conversations, snacks, coffee, cola or Cüpli.

Since August 2018, the vooi's choir has been rehearsing pop songs from the last 70 years of music history arranged by Anna Gosteli on a weekly basis. The gems suggested by the singers include more recent hits by Lady Gaga and Billie Eilish, for example, but Björk, the Beatles and Radiohead are also part of the repertoire. A passion for the beautiful a capella sounds and the joy of working on the pieces together give the vooi's members and their leader new energy for the rest of the week every Wednesday.
