As the operator of the vivakirche-liestal.ch website, Dire Viva Kirche Liestal (hereinafter referred to as "We") is responsible for the personal data of the users (hereinafter referred to as "you") of the website within the meaning of the FADP.

What personal data do we collect?

Does personal data go abroad?

Yes, this is possible, to the EEA but also to any country in the world. If this is a country without sufficient data protection, we will conclude the EU standard contractual clauses in particular, but may also rely on consent or transfer data abroad on a case-by-case basis because it is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract with you or in your interest (e.g. collecting donations or prayers for you abroad).

Why do we collect personal data?

We do this for the following purposes (in addition to those we communicate to you separately):

  • Communication with you
  • Prayers (newsletters, prayer lists)
  • Marketing (fundraising, print media, newsletters, brochures)
  • Newsletter
  • Thanks for your work / assistance
  • Conclusion/processing of contracts with you, including applications
  • Operation of the infrastructure, website
  • Market analyses (in the area of core tasks: Pioneering work, church planting, church promotion, social diaconal tasks, training, discipleship, humanitarian work/emergency aid/development cooperation; in the area of personnel: short-term vs. long-term; donations; legal form)
  • Training, further education
  • Compliance with legal obligations

To whom do we disclose personal data?

  • Business partners (organisations, churches and other persons at home/abroad with whom we work)
  • Service providers (e.g. IT and cloud providers, banks, insurance companies, transport and shipping companies)
  • Distribution of the prayer/donation lists
  • Authorities (especially where we are obliged to do so)
  • Third parties that collect data about you via the website: Google Maps, Google reCAPTCHA, Google Webfonts, YouTube

Your rights?

In principle, you have the right to request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can

  • Information about the personal data as such,
  • the processing purpose,
  • the retention period or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining this period,
  • the origin of your data if it was not collected from you,
  • if applicable, on the existence of an automated individual decision,
  • if applicable, about the recipients or categories of recipients to whom their personal data is disclosed,

You also have the right to

  • To revoke any consent you may have given for the use of your personal data
  • to have your personal data stored by us corrected
  • to have your personal data stored by us deleted or otherwise object to our processing

Depending on the circumstances, we can or must restrict these rights as provided for by law, e.g. to protect third parties or where we are legally obliged to retain data (the retention period for donor data is generally 10 years).
